Incorrect headline in Sun-Times retracted, Johnson plan never included income tax
CHICAGO – The Chicago Sun-Times today issued a correction after falsely including a 3.5 percent city income tax in its headline on Commissioner Brandon Johnson’s plan to stop property tax hikes and pay for new investments in Chicago. As reported in Crain's Chicago Business and other outlets, as well as in the budget plan, Johnson’s “A Better Chicago Agenda” never included an income tax.
